Shalom everyone,
Last Shabbat, as we enjoyed Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), many of us were shocked to hear of the brutal attack on Israel and the death count. As Andrew and I gathered with our brothers and sisters, we prayed for Israel, her people and the soldiers who were defending her. Sadly, Israel’s enemies have chosen another holy time to attack, reminding us all of the last time, 50 years ago, known as the Yom Kippur war. Let us come together as one faith and one people to pray for all the innocent suffering, and repent of our own transgressions in taking the security of Israel for granted. In so doing, knowing that Father YAH and Yeshua forgive us when we ask, pray that He may have mercy on them and us, making our intercessions for Israel all the more powerful.
“O Elohim, do not remain silent! Do not be speechless, And do not be still, O El! For look, Your enemies make an uproar, And those hating You have lifted up their head. They craftily plot against Your people, And conspire against Your treasured ones. They have said, “Come, And let us wipe them out as a nation, And let the name of Yisra’el be remembered no more.” For they have conspired together with one heart; They have made a covenant against You” (Psalm 83:1-5 TS1998)
