One call ends—another is ready to begin. This parsha we witness the last part of Leviticus as the final rules are laid down for Israel while they have been encamped at Mount Sinai for the last two years. One last chance to understand the intricate rules of harvesting, Jubilees, special vows—all are given and more with a greater sense of urgency. Israel stands ready to get on the move, but it is only the calm before the storm as book of Badmidbar (Numbers) looms in their future, with deadly rebellions and close family betrayals still in Moshe’s future. Get ready—this ride is just about to get bumpy!
Enter the mysteries of the Land Sabbaths and Jubilees for this is the only parsha where they are discussed in detail! These rules are so beautiful and so intricate that I actually revised my notes after I gave the lecture to make sure the facts were being related to all of you properly. Please, therefore, read the “Clarifications” section on pages 1-2 in the Scroll to Scroll notes and pages 3-4 in the Torah 101 notes FIRST before watching the videos as I believe it will make what I say on the video more understandable. Find out how Father Yah used these unprecedented rules to set up an ideal society and get ready for next week when we see the dire ramifications of not following His Torah! It all climaxes with an extremely robust and extra-long Torah Thought for the Week that digs deep to recover lost Christianities and the original Nazarene Jewish faith! Not to be missed!
It’s time to set your calendar…literally. As we enter into these final chapters of Leviticus (Vayikra), we are once more immersed in details of the calendar, Torah observance and even a bit of prophecy, as some of the strongest clues about how to keep the appointed times are given this week. We will also find a very interesting tie from the prophet Ezekiel who uses details from here to show us what his majestic Third Temple would look like, complete with the return of the mysterious sons of Zadok. Also, delve deep into what blasphemy really is as opposed to what tradition tries to make it out to be with Y’shua the Messiah putting his own firm take on the matter. We’re back from our road trip and ready to start up again–join us!
The priesthood just got a lot harder to do. In the wake of Nadav and Avihu’s tragic deaths, the entire nation of Israel has been on edge, and no one more so than Aaron himself and his two surviving sons, Eleazar and Ithamar. When the death first happened, an entire new corpus of massive regulations was given to ensure it would not happen again. Now down to only three priests for a nation of more than 2 million, even more regulations have been given from Father Yah, that apply to priest and layman alike, and the stakes could not be higher. Find out though the true divine intentions behind the rules and see just how gracious Father Yah truly is, even when it seems He shows an angry face.
Please also note: This parsha will be up for a few days until the 2017 Pesach Special comes on April 10th, and that Pesach Special will post both here and in Free Teachings. So if you watch this parsha later in the week, it has not gone away but is simply the parsha BEFORE the Pesach Special! The study questions that are given in Aharei Mot, however, will not be answered until the return of the next regular parsha, Kedoshim, on April 19th. Enjoy the best of the season!
Chag samyeach and welcome to the 2017 Pesach Special–the most robust sand detailed Feast teaching yet! In addition to going deep into the details of Pesach with all the relevant Torah, Haftorah and NT readings for the entire 8-day feast, we have extended bonus teachings that explore some incredible and fascinating topics that I believe you will not find quite this way anywhere else. The Nature of Mashiyach, Part 1 and 2, use the Tanakh to answer some of the most elusive questions about how Mashiyach died for our sins and what was his nature. We will se how the church drifted away by lessening Tanakh’s authority and how that caused them to struggle over some of the most fundamental questions about Y’shua and Godhead for many centuries. Then in our next series, The Eight Verses That Changed the World, we will resolve many alleged discrepancies in the NT as 8 lines are carefully analyzed and retranslated from both Greek and Aramaic. We will also explore how scholars lost sight of the some of the unique features of “Jewish Greek” and how that creates confusion even down to the present, while the Aramaic comes alive with fresh clarity and precision as never before. Spend the time and go deep through the next 8 days. I believe you will find it a journey most worth taking!

The adventure of the unclean continues, as this week we see the real personal cost of what it means to become ritually impure. But there is also an important distinction being made between ritual impurity and moral impurity which is important I think for every believer to understand. And it’s not only people that can get infected either–even a house can become impure and be in need of a sin offering. Why were these procedures put in the Torah and how do they show us the true way to Messiah Y’shua? The truth and its beauty are always in the details!
Seems every few years the news media panics over the next infectious disease outbreak. Ebola, Sars, Bird flu, Mad cow, the list seems endless. Now imagine being back 35 centuries ago and having a disease that isolated you from all society and made it impossible for you to participate in any Temple occasion or feast. And now imagine, but for a miracle, there is no cure. What would you do? If you were an Israelite the answer is, as Y’shua said, “Go and show yourselves to the priests”. Find out how what ancient Israel did to halt the spread of infectious disease is still being practiced today. What the Torah said then has become part and parcel to our own debates on government and healthcare in our own time, but also a powerful moral metaphor for our times, as leprosy can relate to what Messiah did for us, to being unclean spiritually and even to evil speech. There’s more going on under the veil than what you may think!
The family that strays together, pays together, in this case, the ultimate price, as two sons of Aaron die before Father Yah for offering unauthorized fire. What does that really mean, we’ll explore the full ins and outs of this challenging parsha together. This is followed by a detailed discussion on the kosher food lists, both in Leviticus 11 and in Mark 7. We will also deal with the curious case of Uzzah, who died for touching the Ark as he attempted to save it. Come with us and find some very surprising answers to some of the most challenging parts of the Scripture this week!
Chag Sameyach! Welcome to the first of five Feast teachings for 2017. Purim is a truly amazing feast with some deep and surprising roots and ramifications. Our journey this year begins with giving precise dates for the actual event and then showcases roots and far back as Genesis and as far forwards as two places in the NT where Y’shua himself most likely kept this feast. Decipher the clues and see the Scripture in a brand new way as we explore why the book of Esther is not in the Dead Sea Scrolls, track down Esther, Mordechai and their immediate family from real Persian records from the actual time, and how one of the most famous battles ever fought in the ancient world gives us a missing chapter to this feast and fills in so much more than you might expect. Let me show you…and let us rejoice together!
Enter the secret world of the Cohanim, the priests that Father Yah has commanded to make intercession for the nation of Israel. But this week is about much more than a bunch of sacrifices. Each sacrifice and each animal or product used for a sacrifice goes with a special immersion which imparts a message to each sincere believer about where they have been and what lies ahead. How do these seemingly arcane and even graphic descriptions in the Torah, often also viewed as obscure, actually act as a blueprint for our faith walk now? Decode the mystery of the five immersions and sacrifices and see for yourself!
A New Era dawns. As we delve now into the opening chapters of Vayikra or Leviticus, sacrifices and regulations for ritual purity are given in extremely exacting detail, proving that this is real history and not a myth made up to teach a religion! Explore the surprising connections between the sacrificial rules and an even in Yochanan’s Gospel. And be sure to check out the bonus features (Scroll to Scroll version only) on the latest research on Messiah’s genealogy in Matthew to a detailed study on proving though Scripture where the lost Temples of YHWH were located. See Torah regulations absolutely invalidate the claim of the so-called Temple Mount! Enjoy the journey!
