Aharei Mot

The priesthood just got a lot harder to do. In the wake of Nadav and Avihu’s tragic deaths, the entire nation of Israel has been on edge, and no one more so than Aaron himself and his two surviving sons, Eleazar and Ithamar. When the death first happened, an entire new corpus of massive regulations was given to ensure it would not happen again. Now down to only three priests for a nation of more than 2 million, even more regulations have been given from Father Yah, that apply to priest and layman alike, and the stakes could not be higher. Find out though the true divine intentions behind the rules and see just how gracious Father Yah truly is, even when it seems He shows an angry face.

Please also note: This parsha will be up for a few days until the 2017 Pesach Special comes on April 10th, and that Pesach Special will post both here and in Free Teachings. So if you watch this parsha later in the week, it has not gone away but is simply the parsha BEFORE the Pesach Special! The study questions that are given in Aharei Mot, however, will not be answered until the return of the next regular parsha, Kedoshim, on April 19th. Enjoy the best of the season!

Metzora

The adventure of the unclean continues, as this week we see the real personal cost of what it means to become ritually impure. But there is also an important distinction being
made between ritual impurity and moral impurity which is important I think for every believer to understand. And it’s not only people that can get infected either–even a house can become impure and be in need of a sin offering. Why were these procedures put in the Torah and how do they show us the true way to Messiah Y’shua? The truth and its beauty are always in the details!

Seems every few years the news media panics over the next infectious disease outbreak. Ebola, Sars, Bird flu, Mad cow, the list seems endless. Now imagine being back 35 centuries ago and having a disease that isolated you from all society and made it impossible for you to participate in any Temple occasion or feast. And now imagine, but for a miracle, there is no cure. What would you do? If you were an Israelite the answer is, as Y’shua said, “Go and show yourselves to the priests”. Find out how what ancient Israel did to halt the spread of infectious disease is still being practiced today. What the Torah said then has become part and parcel to our own debates on government and healthcare in our own time, but also a powerful moral metaphor for our times, as leprosy can relate to what Messiah did for us, to being unclean spiritually and even to evil speech. There’s more going on under the veil than what you may think!

Chag Sameyach! 2017 Purim Special!

Chag Sameyach! Welcome to the first of five Feast teachings for 2017. Purim is a truly amazing feast with some deep and surprising roots and ramifications. Our journey this year begins with giving precise dates for the actual event and then showcases roots and far back as Genesis and as far forwards as two places in the NT where Y’shua himself most likely kept this feast. Decipher the clues and see the Scripture in a brand new way as we explore why the book of Esther is not in the Dead Sea Scrolls, track down Esther, Mordechai and their immediate family from real Persian records from the actual time, and how one of the most famous battles ever fought in the ancient world gives us a missing chapter to this feast and fills in so much more than you might expect. Let me show you…and let us rejoice together!

Enter the secret world of the Cohanim, the priests that Father Yah has commanded to make intercession for the nation of Israel. But this week is about much more than a bunch of sacrifices. Each sacrifice and each animal or product used for a sacrifice goes with a special immersion which imparts a message to each sincere believer about where they have been and what lies ahead. How do these seemingly arcane and even graphic descriptions in the Torah, often also viewed as obscure, actually act as a blueprint for our faith walk now? Decode the mystery of the five immersions and sacrifices and see for yourself!

I love it when a plan comes together–especially a heavenly one commanded by Father Yah! We may never know how long Father Yah had the image of an earthly tabernacle to match the glory (at least somewhat) of what He commanded in the heavenlies, but we most certainly know the exact date the earthly counterpart showed up: Friday, March 28th, 1446 BCE. And yet, as we will also see, there are so many more rich details we get during the actual construction that were not given earlier in Exodus when the plan was first announced. In any case, a people who started this book of Shemot as slaves in Egypt devoid of all hope now stand on the brink of becoming a true nation–if only they will believe Moshe and not give into lies. For now however, let’s just enjoy the moment as one story ends and a new one is ready to be told.

A big part of heaven’s kingdom descends onto the earth this week! Remembering that Moshe has been told a few times, “See that you make everything according to the pattern you were shown on the mountain”. this week that pattern becomes a physical reality as sacred geometries and spiritual mathematics based completely on Scripture come together to make the sacred furniture, including the Ark of the Covenant. What secrets do the math and the materials and the measurements reveal? The truth, hiding in plain sight all along, is about to blossom into even deeper levels without compromising one iota of plain Scripture truth. This is literally the math that holds the universe together and it’s all literally written in stone, metal and wood for all to see.

Ki Tissa

It starts out with just an innocent little census, but then all “pagan-gehenna” breaks loose–literally! But as many of you long-time members know, figuring out what the Golden Calf really was is the key to unlocking so many other mysteries, including where Mount Sinai has to be. But this time around there’s a surprise twist that I have not revealed before and it lies in the proper translation of Exodus 32:4, where it’s “THESE be your GODS, O Israel that brought you out of Egypt”, and trust me, that plural makes all the difference. Other important features this week include debunking the deceptive tactics of counter-missionaries and a final update on the El Arish stone, as well as exciting news on the very latest developments in Dead Sea Scrolls research with breaking news this very week!

Please Note: Not all features of Scroll to Scroll are replicated in the basic course, Torah 101. Todah (thank you)!

Tetzaveh

Enter into the Sanctuary, to the place that Father Yah promised He would meet with His servants! Now as the plans for building the earthly representation of those things in heaven picks up speed, literally, the secrets of the universe are passed down in code, calendar, and prophecy in so many ways. We also go even deeper into that theme with the Haftorah portion from Ezekiel as he describes the future Temple. We also have brand new updates on the latest in Biblical archaeology, including the two items we discussed last week, one purporting to be an Egyptian account of Exodus and the other a first century Latin account about a previously unknown miracle about Y’shua. Will the claims stand up to scholarly scrutiny or will the liberal skeptics be forced to rewrite their own history? Find out and also see how one of Y’shua’s most beloved parables may end up not only having a cutting political edge many didn’t even see coming but also how it proves beyond all doubt our Mashiyach could most definitely predict the future. And also a very personal aside on how I got into this field of Scripture study. The inspiration might surprise you!

These extra long notes are brimming with many gorgeous images, so you definitely will want to have these printed as we explore these mysteries together!

Terumah

Explore the mysteries of the Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant and so much more. Terumah seems to be a parsha just about measurements and furniture, but the reality is very different. Inside these numbers are amazing secret codes for calendar, prophecy and even the universe itself. Also find out the latest in Biblical archaeology discoveries including what may be proof of the Exodus from the Egyptian perspective, a Roman account of a previous unknown miracle of Y’shua dated to within 15 years of the resurrection and the latest on a manuscript behind held in the Vatican that has the Aramaic Gospels dated to 78 CE. Join us as the codes or deciphered and the mysteries are revealed, along with of course all the other linguistics and history that you have come to expect from parshas here on Scroll to Scroll and Torah 101! Enjoy!

P.S.: If you want to see more of that Ark of the Covenant graphic and what that’s all about, just DOUBLE LEFT CLICK on the image and it will enlarge!
